When we brought her home, she weighed 42 pounds. All her bones were sticking out, and
you couldn't run your hand down her back because every vertebrae was sticking out and it hurt her.

She was in very bad shape. My parents wondered if she would live through the night. She
could barely walk because she was so weak. As it turned out, there was a good reason for her being so weak. She
had heartworms, whip worms, ear mites, she was dehydrated, and severely underweight.
